Associated Students of Stanford University is Stanford's student government, under which Green Events Consulting operates as a student initiative. Green Living Council brings together representatives from dorms and houses across campus working to promote sustainability within student life. Stanford's Office of Sustainability organizes a university-wide effort to reduce the university's environmental impact, preserve resources, and to show sustainability in action. Peninsula Sanitary Service, Inc. (PSSI) and Stanford Recycling Center offer services like compost bin drop-off/pick-up that student groups can use for their events. Students for a Sustainable Stanford is a student group on campus that shares many of Green Events Consulting's goals. SUSSing Sustainability @ Stanford is a blog run by Stanford Undergraduate Sustainability Scholars (SUSS) that is a forum for sustainability-related ideas, projects, and debates. |
