What Is GEC Express?GEC Express is a division of GEC that is focused on (1) short-term advising for student groups and the campus community, and (2) educating students about sustainable event-planning.
Our project teams, as explained under the Student Groups tab, typically work on large-scale events with student groups on a long-term basis, advising them extensively on various areas of their event. However, we have realized that there are many students who merely have several simple questions (e.g. where to buy compostable material, how to get recycling and compost bins at their event, quick strategies on how to green their event) but do not know where to go to get these questions answered. GEC would like to serve as a resource for all students on campus (not just the student groups we consult extensively throughout the course of each year). You thus can come to the Student Activities Leadership office (more information on the right) to speak with a GEC consultant or a peer advisor regarding greening your event. Also, feel free to email us if you would like quick recommendations and/or questions answered. |
